Inducers
Enzyme induction has widely observed with a variety of microorganisms. The most well studied example is of beta-galactosidase induction. Isopropyl β-D-thiogalactopyranoside (IPTG) (Product code 72045) is a gratuitous inducer of β-galactosidase in E. coli. IPTG is widely employed as an inducer of β-D-galactosidase activity.
