Non-Chelating Chromogenic Substrates

Non-Chelating Chromogenic Substrates provide a coloured end point without the use of a metal ion. Indoxyl based enzyme substrates give a non-diffuse endpoint when used under aerobic conditions. The nitrophenol based enzyme substrate, PNP and ONP, both offer soluble end-points so are suited for use in liquid media.
